Change The "From” In Your Confirmation Emails
How to setup confirmation emails to come directly from a Client’s own email address.
Log into the client’s EM account and click on the Admin tab, and append the following to the URL and click <enter>
&show=advanced
Update the settings as shown in this example. You will need to get this information from the client.
SMTP Server – the client may need to get this from his email domain host. If they have setup their own Outlook to use with their email, it would be whatever they setup with Outlook.
SMTP Port – It is likely 465 unless their email provider tells them differently.
SMTP Username – the username they use to log into their email.
SMTP Password – the password they use to log into their email.
Sysadmin name – whatever they want to use as the From name.
Sysadmin email – the email address they are using as the From.
When information is submitted, click Save. Once you do this, you will need to send a test email by typing in your email address in the “test to” field and hit send mail. You’ll be prompted as to whether or not you want to leave the page. Click “leave the page”. You’ll get a success or failed message. If failed, you’ll need to further troubleshoot the information entered. If you get a success message, you will receive the confirmation test email.
