Overview Of Brivo Member Maintenance

Brivo Member Maintenance is a new enhancement for all of our Brivo Access Control clubs. Brivo Member Maintenance or B.M.M. for short will let our Brivo clubs have more control over their Brivo panels through our Club Advantage software than ever before. This is a brief overview of B.M.M. and what you will be looking for when navigating through this feature.

Accessing B.M.M. through Operations

On the Operations page of Club Advantage, you will see a section labelled Brivo, containing two links: Groups and Members. We will be going over Groups later, but for now select Members to open B.M.M.

Once you select Members from the two links, a Find a Member screen will appear for you to find you to find any member you have.

You can find any member through the Search Criteria field by their First or Last name, Member ID, Account #, Alt Account # or Phone Number.

Once you find the account you are looking for select the member's name from the search results. In this case we will be looking at the member John Anderson.

Now that we have found the account we are looking for this screen will appear. This is the Brivo Member Maintenance area for the account.

There are five main fields that can be adjusted. Those are:

  1. Select Member

  2. Member Brivo Access

  3. Brivo Access Codes

  4. Access Period

  5. Group Membership

1. Select Member

Select member lets you go to the Find a Member screen for you to find another member in B.M.M. Click Select Member.

Select Member

This brings you back to the Find a Member screen.

2. Member Brivo Status

Member Brivo Status will show you the current status of that member in your Brivo panel.

A member can have an Active or Suspended status or the field will be Blank. If the field is Blank the member is NOT a user in the Brivo panel.

On the right you will see four links. Create, Remove, Suspend or Reinstate.

Create: Will allow you to create a member a user account on your Brivo panel

Remove: Will allow you to remove a user account for the member on your Brivo panel

Suspend: Will allow you to suspend Brivo access

Reinstate: Will allow you to reinstate a members Brivo access with a suspended status

Further details on the functionality of all these steps are in other lessons in the manual.

3. Brivo Access Codes

The Brivo Access Codes field is where you will view and make adjustments to a members Card or PIN number for Brivo access.

To remove a Card or PIN number, all that needs to be done is to delete the number in the Card or PIN number field and select either Update on the right.

To add a Card or PIN number just place the Card or PIN number in the correct field and select either ADD or Update on the right.

4. Access Periods

The Access Period section is where you can view and adjust a member time period for Brivo Access.

The From period will always default to the day that the member was first signed up in the club.

The To period will either show as Blank for a Open End member (as pictured) or will have the date of when a members contracted membership expires.

Both of these fields can be adjusted by selecting the Calendars that appear on right of each field. Selecting the date you would like to show and then selecting Update Period.

5. Group Membership

The Group Membership field is where you will be able to control which group(s) your members belong to.

Any Available Group that is on your Brivo Panel will appear in the Available section and any group that the member is in on your Brivo Panel will appear in the Joined section.

To place another group in the Joined section, all that will have to be done is select the group in the Available section that you wish for your member to Join and select the arrow (<) to move that group to the Joined section. Once that is done you will select the Save Group Membership link on the right and that member will now be in that group on your Brivo Panel.

To place another group in the Available section, all that will have to be done is select the group in the Joined section that you wish for your member to Join and select the arrow (>) to move that group to the Available section. Once that is done you will select the Save Group Membership link on the right and that member will not now be in that group on your Brivo Panel.

More information regarding the maintenance of groups is in another lesson in the manual.
